Spring Break 101: Student Edition

Well, folks, we hate to burst your bubble, but midterms are coming up. However, the good news is, after you crush those midterms, it’s SPRING BREAK! We can’t make the days pass faster, or help you memorize all your materials, but we can shine a little light at the end of the tunnel. From sunny beaches to comfy beds, the spring break destinations are endless. We talked to a handful of students to get the rundown on their spring break plans.

Mexicoooo. From the diverse amount of all-inclusives to small, quaint houses on the beach, Mexico guarantees you coming back with a nice tan, and maybe a slight hangover.

New Orleans. Experiencing the French Quarter is a once in a lifetime feeling and memories that photos could not capture. Make sure to get your fill of food, it’s hard to have a bad meal.

Back to your hometown. You miss your family and they miss you too. It’s always good to have home cooked meals and see your family pet. Just make sure to hug your family and tell them you love them before you leave.

A cruise ship. Traveling AND relaxing, what a combo. Having different days at different islands where you can experience another culture, then having days to relax poolside. And don’t be shy, go back for seconds, or thirds, at the dessert bar.

Your bed. Life is hard, and after the first seven weeks of school, you’re thinking about dropping out and just working at Marble Slab. Don’t worry, there is nothing sleeping for 7 days and binging Netflix cannot fix. After hibernating for a week, you will be recharged and ready to take on next seven weeks.

And the classic, Panama City Beach. There is no description needed for this one, just be safe and come back to Oxford at the end.

If you don’t have plans yet, there is still time to book your flight. But first, study up for those tests and finish those projects. Good luck, Rebels!
